Overview
Mind Reader is a local puzzle and magic-trick application. Based on the current production app design, Mind Reader itself does not collect personal information and does not operate its own online backend for user data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores on your device, what it does not collect, and how certain user-initiated features interact with other apps or services.
What information the app collects
Mind Reader does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, postal address, precise or approximate location, contacts, calendar data, messages, photos, videos, audio recordings, microphone input, advertising identifiers, IP address, account credentials, health information, or financial information.
Mind Reader does not create user accounts and does not require you to sign in.
Information stored locally
To provide preferences and app functionality, Mind Reader stores a small set of settings on your device using Android local storage (DataStore). These settings currently include:
- Theme preference (system, light, or dark)
- Reduced animations preference
- Haptic feedback preference
These values are stored locally so the app can remember your choices. They are used only for app functionality and personalization of the experience on your device.
Puzzle numbers and other in-session game inputs you enter while playing are processed temporarily in memory for gameplay and are not saved as part of the app’s stored preferences.
Local preferences remain on your device. Depending on your device and operating system settings, Android backup or restore features may include app data. Mind Reader does not itself provide a cloud backup service for these preferences, and this policy does not make a definitive claim about how every device backup system behaves.
Information the app does not collect
Mind Reader does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, attribution SDKs, or cloud AI processing SDKs in the current production app.
In particular, the current app does not collect or upload:
- Usage analytics or advertising identifiers
- Crash reports or diagnostic telemetry to Mind Reader servers
- Photos, camera, microphone, or location data
- Account, login, or authentication data
- Payment or purchase data within the app
Network and transmission
The current production app does not declare internet permission for its own networking and does not implement an HTTP/HTTPS client, WebView-based data upload, or Mind Reader-operated backend that receives user data.
Accordingly, Mind Reader itself does not automatically transmit your preferences or other app data to Mind Reader servers.
Third-party services
Mind Reader does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, authentication, or cloud storage services that collect data for Mind Reader.
If you use Android system features, the Google Play Store, or another app that you choose, those products operate under their own privacy policies. This Privacy Policy describes Mind Reader’s own behavior and does not control what those independent products may collect.
User-initiated sharing and external links
Share
Mind Reader provides an optional Share action. When you choose Share, the app opens the Android share sheet and provides configured marketing/share text that includes a link to the Mind Reader listing on Google Play. You choose the destination application. Mind Reader does not automatically transmit personal information through this feature.
Rate
Mind Reader provides an optional Rate action. When you choose Rate, the app opens the Google Play Store listing for Mind Reader (or a browser fallback). This action is user-initiated. Mind Reader does not control what Google Play or your browser may collect under their own policies.

The same URL is configured in the Mind Reader Android app. When you choose Privacy Policy in Settings, the app opens this page through a user-initiated action.
Data retention
Local preference data is retained on your device until you change it, reset it in the app, clear the app’s data through system settings, or uninstall the app.
Because Mind Reader does not operate a user-data backend, there is no Mind Reader server-side retention period for personal information collected by the app.
Data deletion and reset
- Mind Reader has no account system, so there is no account deletion process.
- You can use the app’s Reset Settings (or equivalent reset preferences) function to clear the stored local preferences described above.
- Uninstalling Mind Reader removes the app’s local app data according to normal Android platform behavior.
- This policy does not promise deletion from device or cloud backups managed by the operating system or other services, because that behavior depends on your device and system settings.
Children’s privacy
Mind Reader does not ask for age information, does not create child profiles, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app’s own features.
This statement is limited to the app’s current behavior. It is not a legal determination under any specific children’s privacy law or Google Play Families program rule.

Security
Mind Reader does not transmit user data to Mind Reader servers because the app does not operate a network backend for that purpose. Local preferences remain on the device under the protections provided by the Android platform.
No method of electronic storage is completely secure. While Mind Reader is designed to minimize data handling, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When it is updated, the effective date at the top of this document will be revised. Continued use of Mind Reader after an update means you should review the revised policy.
